2 years down the road....
@ Saturday, 28. Apr, 2007 – 08:34:59
Yesterday i had my first gathering this year or perhaps so far, that i felt time has really passed us by so quickly.
Dec 2004, i went on a trip with a group of fantastic people for our AkhaWay Expedition.May 2007, 3 already got married, 1 with a beautiful son, a soon to be mother of a son, 1 getting married in Dec. In a span of 2 YEARS! Oh my 'buddha' i think, 2 years isn't very long, but look at us then, and look at us now.
I don't seemed to have changed a bit....except for the experiences i've gained...
time really passes by fast... do u feel it or like me, still feels the same as 2 years ago...

Something amiss...
@ Thursday, 26. Apr, 2007 – 23:07:11
Haven post for a while....
i think my eye degrees increase already man. Facing the computer for so long recently. Colleagues can think of me as being good at admin stuff but i really can't sit down anymore. I want to walk!!! It's so bad to sit for hours in front of the laptop. I wonder how office people can survive years stuck in his/her cubicle!
The weather has been hot recently but am glad the last 2-3 days , there's some rain.
i know it sounds a bit crazy, but i think i miss the passengers at airport. They can be demanding, troublesome, like to complain, but i still LOVE them....oh man. Totally helpless passengers from foreign land who are lost, looking upon u as their only hope. And u being able to help, it's a nice feeling.
I miss the nice colleagues, the warm trolley uncle offering to buy teh. And seeing the flight crews pulling their trolleys, foreign languages, evening swarm of Qantas pax, german passengers knowing no english. How many of u out there can say u truely love your job? Or just working for bread and butter?
I keep my fingers cross.....hoping my heart will meet my destiny...
there's always hope out there, i just hope i dont' need to wait too long. -
The Singapore Flyer
@ Saturday, 14. Apr, 2007 – 21:25:06
Heard about the Singapore Flyer? Oh yeah, it's already up now at the Marina bay. But yet to be tested. Said to be up and running on next year's Valentines' Day! I can guess it'll be booked by year end haha. It doesn't comes cheap ya.
Website:
http://www.singaporeflyer.com.sg/Inspiration for the Singapore Flyer sparked from national icons like the Eiffel Tower and the London Eye. On this inspiration, Dr. Kisho Kurokawa of Japan and DP Architects, Singapore developed the initial concept behind the Singapore Flyer’s design.
Design - Capsule
The Singapore Flyer capsule will be fitted with the latest cooling system, supported by a back-up air conditioning system and a solid roof. Passengers need not suffer from the heat when the capsule is 165 metres above the ground, for the capsules are fitted with UV protection to shield them from the blazing Singapore sun. The precision wind engineering also allows passengers to sit back, relax, and enjoy the spectacular skyline without worrying about any movements or vibrations.
Ergonomically designed, each capsule will measure 4 metres by 7 metres and will have an interior space of 30 square metres, comfortably accommodating a maximum of 30 passengers. The flyer also has elderly and wheelchair friendly synchronised double door entry/exit systems.

See the wheel behind the 'durian' esplanade?Visit the National Museum now till 21 May. Free admission.Visit the Images of the Arab World. The photos and models are amazing. Worth a look. Check it out...err at my site haha: http://allaboutaki.multiply.com/photos/album/17

Lance's words
@ Sunday, 08. Apr, 2007 – 18:42:41
Something to share. I found my crumpled piece of paper in my sling bag today. Some words scribbled behind. I realised i copied from the book i read about Lance Armstrong.
" A race is an exercise in leaving others behind, and sometimes that can include the ones you love. It's a delicate problem."
"If you want to win something, you've got to have single mindedness and it's all too easy to wind up lonesome while you're at it."

Welcome to Sentosa
@ Saturday, 07. Apr, 2007 – 20:40:51
Finally the new Monorail of Sentosa is in operation. It's located on the third level of VivoCity. For those with Sentosa membership card, admission is free with the new contactless card.
The service staff is good. They misplaced my card and immediately apologised and get it done for me right on the spot. For some shots of Sentosa and ViVo: http://allaboutaki.multiply.com/photos/album/12
