  • Dreaming in the airport...

I bought a Korean Drama serial 'AirCity' showing the head of operations at Incheon Airport, Han Do-kyung working in an environment where people constantly arriving and departing, dealing with situations on the ground and several near death experience, working with government agent Kim Ji-seong. Some love triangle appearing later on.

I was only watching the 6th discs and so cool... their airport is really nice, modern. Dreaming to be working in the operations like Han Do-Kyung one day, hahaha, exciting yet stressful, she's a workaholic inside who used to work in Singapore but was asked to be back Incheon. Her long lost sister was a pilot with Asiana airlines, wow. The male actor government agent was so cool too keke. Would be so nice, if only have chance to work in overseas top airports...HOngkong, Incheon, Taiwan, etc.. are all nice airports. I still prefer Airports in Asia Pacific, maybe used to asian cultures and the service standards. Well... dreaming again, things don't just fall from the sky right. ..:( But hopefully can be in operations someday...:|

Mum & Dad were so addicted to durians that i had durians like 'rice' everyday!..ya, like staple food, haha. Oh man, i see my tummy growing..ah oh..:>

  • Promises ...

Never break 4 things in your life:
    Trust,
    promise
    Relation and heart,
Because when they break, they don't make a lot of noise, but pains a lot.

    Do u believe in promises?
Promises that are kept for years..
    Do u trust?

Promises not made, decisions not laid.
    Promises made, hopes created.
    Promises broken,
    Trust betrayed,
    Heart ached.

    Something to share with everyone:

  • Rainy Singapore

It's been raining this few days, and yup i still like the cool feeling of rain, the calm and peaceful feeling of being alone in the rain. (not without my brolly though).
This morning oh yeah, it rained again and is still raining, i like it especially during rainy nights, nice for sleeping right? :)

What have I been up to? It's getting more into a routine actually. But human beings are really strange creatures who doesn't seem to be satisfied. Sometimes, i feel no challenge in what i do, sometimes feels i'm happy and contented, sometimes yearning to be able to do something more. Other times, procrastinating. :>

My off days, i like to go gym, to release and relax, exercise is my cure all medicine. If u take that out of my life, i think i'll be so deprived. This is part of my lifestyle already. I rem when i was still at Doha, days without my heart pumping is really feeling shitty. And it makes me depressed man. Cos exercise helps release some endorphins or what nots. Not many of my good friends exercise, and none join same gym as me, so i'm used to being alone already. It's like private run away for that 1-2hrs. Well, boring at times.

hehe being food lover, i try to do some baking during my off days though many times my family turned out to be my guinea pigs. oops. It's therapuetic to cook and bake for me. I enjoy being a 'housewife' once in a while. It gets too much on you to face people outside sometimes that home lets u face the 4walls a while peacefully haha.

If time allows, going around to take pictures and just walk and walk is therapeutic too:) Everyone needs time to be on their own. Just more or less. I'm used to more time on my own already.

oh ya, before i forget, hmm actually my parents had changed name for me to Xiujin. The character strokes for my old name wasn't as good. I'm not changing it in my i/c but mum carved out the name in a ring for me to be worn. Only my close old friends call my chinese name, so hey gals, can try calling me this name if u rem haha.

Been thinking once in a while, my working colleague this month told me that one can do without a lover but can never do without family. A few years back, like many young adults, the yearning of freedom to be able to make own decision is so strong that parent's protective and tight love can be so suffocating. Well, i do wish to be able to make my own decision now even more so but not without blessings and support from my family. They're the only ones i never doubt for my trust in them. Best friends yes, the very few that i treasure.

In love life, it's hard to give your life to someone just like this compared to a lifetime with your own family. I don't wish to be betrayed or thrown to a sea of disappointment after throwing your trust to someone. But at other times, its nice to be cared for by someone else, to know someone will be there for u till u're old. But family can't be there for u forever.

Suddenly dawn on me, my wheels have been rolling and spinning on the same spot for quite sometime. It's comfortable but lacking in somethings. Hope for some spinning down the road again.

Some quote i read in a book my sister lend me , about daily happiness" No regrets of the past, no worries for the future, at peace with the present" :)

  • Durian craze

    durians we picked
    Durians we picked
    Path to durian trees
    The path to durian trees:)

yeah, it's the time of the year again for durians in season. I was curious about durian trees actually growing & tasting well in Singapore. So far the durians i saw selling in durian stalls in Singapore streets are either from Malaysia or Thailand. Thailand durians were just too hard & Singaporeans love softer durians, usually Malaysia ones. hmm well Lee told me it's because in Thailand, durians have to be 'harvested' early even if they're on the trees before they're riped. This is to allow time for transportation to other countries or other places further away to be sold. So they ended up feeling harder. The taste & smell isn't as rich as a result. But thai people love hard durians..they find the ones we eat too soft for their liking.

It all started 2 weeks ago when my uncle went to pick durians at some place & picked quite a few, he gave us some to try & they actually tasted quite good. So last sunday, my brother & parents went to pick on their own to pick our own durians to eat:p woah, they picked quite a lot. Ate some much & i've been eating durians practically like everyday haha.

This 2days are my rest days. So yesterday, i asked mum if i can go & pick durians. I wanted to see durian trees in Singapore. So early the following morning, Dad drove me to the place. It was still dark so i can't really even see the ground, so u can imagine, how on earth i'm going to spot any durians. It was drizzling then, we walked with umbrellas for shelter & protection from any likely falling durians haha. i know, i know, Lee was laughing at me how umbrellas are able to protect our heads if ever they fell haha. Well at least the durians will roll off our umbrellas if they fell, mum said keke.

Initially cos it's still dark with dark clouds, i really can't see anything. Dad only had a small touch which is only enough to see our path in front. When we finally reached the spot, we saw many others, their touch lights are so powerful lor:( Some already on their way out with big bags of durians. I was like, wow, can pick so many. I also want as much. Was quite positive until me and dad were still empty handed for the first 15min of walking. Another person gave us a few small ones he happen to find (well, may not be good ones). I realised durians can't be found if we stayed on the walking path, have to walk inside. So i started to stare up the durian trees, see where the durians were and try to walk in. We then began to find a few. But it isnt' as many as i expect. But still, we managed to get more than 10durians. haha, i just treat it as leisure, when i found one, i'm happy, and said " i found one!" But for others who went there, they were quite serious cos they were actually picking to sell. We met one who asked us to go back down, not to enter his 'territory'.

Mum & dad went back in the afternoon hoping to pick more so that can give to some of my aunties but sadly, she couldn't find that afternoon. I think durians season is ending soon. Last week they dropped a lot, this week slowed down already.

U know, durians in Singapore are sold at such a high price that easily, u can chalk up more than hundred dollars on a few durians. It's that crazy. I told my mum next time don't need to buy durians anymore, we can just pick & save hundreds of dollars already haha! All of us love durians & many Singaporeans love durians too:) More & more food stalls are setting up selling exclusive durians pastries & cakes etc. There is the market here.
