Opening of T3 Butterfly Garden

by aki_travel @ Saturday, 30. Aug, 2008 - 10:41:28

T3 had just opened the Butterfly Garden after 9months of planning and construction. It was beautiful. The butterflies are more active during the day time & 'sleeping' at night. I pop by twice & the first time i went in, it's like a magical feeling with butterflies flying all around u. Yesterday i went again with my colleagues and the butterflies are more still hanging by the leaves/ flowers.
It's really beautiful. It's similar to the butterfly garden at Sentosa and Zoo i heard.
But pls note that the garden is inside the Transit area so it's not acessible to any public unless u're travelling.

Yesterday flights to phuket were cancelled. Initially i thought was some Typhoon weather again. But later got to learn that the Phuket Airport was closed due to demonstrations near the Airport Vicinity. Today's papers stated the protests went on at bangkok and also spread to Hatyai, Phuket & Krabi airport to be closed due to the protest. Flights have to be cancelled and tourists/ travellers stranded and unable to travel.

I seldom eat buffet these days cos buffet requires one to eat too much. The only good thing is if u're able to eat a lot then is worth it.
Had 2 Jap buffet this month. One at Hanabi @ Kings Arcade. The buffet cost about SGD$38 after svc charge. Servings are small as i guess it's buffet.

Yesterday went another jap buffet with a few friends cos one of my friend's birthday. Himawari Jap Restaurant(114 Neil Road). I found this restaurant recommended online so want to check it out. The bill came out $42 per person after svc charge! Haven ate so exp buffet before yet.:( But it's worth it if u eat with a bigger group together. Cos they include the jap steamboat shabu shabu in the buffet and when my friend ordered Salmon, i only expect a few slices served, but they came one whole full plate of Salmon! It's fresh. And sushi served are served with generous serving. I ordered the Maguro and the tuna on top of my rice is big and fresh:) But we're too full to eat the Shabu Shabu.
It's worth a try if u have bigger group gatherin like 4person or more. Booked in advance as the restuarant is quite packed even for weekdays. The owner is a jap boss who apparently speaks Chinese! If i didn't mistaken the person. Very nice and serve us himself when shop is less busy. But not enough staff when the shop is busy and no one to attend to us when we came.

I finally finished my AirCity VCD. Very nice:) But sad ending for the lead actress:( How can people let go so 'xiao sa'. Meeting her love at the airport and parting at airport as well, not knowing when he'll ever be back or if he's alive or if ever will see each other again. The feeling of waiting...and letting go..:'(

Love in the context of buddhism is something i do not understand. I finish a buddhist book i read and being in love seems to mean attachment to worldly things, which will hinder one from obtaining true happiness which is nirvana, having worldly attachment will mean u're always returning to the Samsara cycle. Is it then wrong to be so in love in our life?

Some phrases from the book to end with:
"TRYING is the uncertainty,
the fickleness of the heart,
the half-heartedness of intention

No one became enlightened by trying.
You have to be wholehearted to attain it."

I guess this applies to things in life as well, when you use the words: i'll try....are u actually doing it wholeheartedly?
